We keep to our treatment principles in consultations too.
Plastic surgery is not art. It is medicine.
- We never recommend excessive surgery.
- During surgery, we think of it as the last operation and give our best until the end.
- After surgery, we see our patients even more often.
We do not recommend surgeries or procedures that we judge are not needed. If we judge that another method is more suitable, we will tell you so.
Detailed background is in About Dr. Park Jung Keun.
What happens in the consultation?
The doctor looks at your face directly, hears about the cause of your concern, and then explains a suitable method, possible side effects, and the recovery period.
- We ask about what bothers you and the change you would like.
- The doctor examines your face directly, including by touch, to look for the cause. We distinguish whether it is a skin problem, hollowing, or sagging.
- We explain which methods are suitable and which are not, along with the reasons.
- We inform you about anesthesia, the recovery period, possible side effects, precautions, and cost.
How long a consultation takes:
Whether a procedure can be done on the day of the consultation:
What should I prepare before the consultation?
Please tell us about the medications you are taking, illnesses you have or have had, and procedures or surgeries you have had before.
- Medications you are taking. In particular, blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents), aspirin, and health supplements
- Illnesses you have or have had. High blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, a tendency for bleeding not to stop easily, and so on
- Any past experience of allergy to medication or injections
- Whether you smoke
- Plastic surgery or procedures you have had before. If you know the clinic, the date, and the name of the product used, please include them
- Whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding
What to bring:
What should I know if I am considering a facelift?
If you smoke, you must stop for 3–4 weeks before surgery, and revision surgery is considered only after 6 months have passed since the first surgery.
Quitting smoking before surgery
For lifting surgeries such as facelift, mini facelift, and neck lift, we advise you to stop smoking for 3–4 weeks before surgery.
Revision surgery after a lifting surgery
Revision surgery after a facelift, mini facelift, or neck lift is considered only after at least 6 months have passed since the first surgery.
If you have records of your previous surgery, please bring them to the consultation.
Details for each surgery are in Lifting selection criteria, Facelift surgery information, Mini facelift surgery information, and Neck lift surgery information.
Can overseas patients also have a consultation?
Yes. Many patients come from countries with advanced medical care, such as the United States and Japan. Among overseas patients, about 60% are from Japan and about 30% are from the United States.
Depending on the surgery or procedure, there are days when you need to return. For example, with upper blepharoplasty, the stitches are removed on day 7. So we decide your schedule for staying in Korea together at the consultation.
How to book from overseas:
Who do I contact if something seems wrong after surgery or a procedure?
Please contact us at the main number 02-541-8500. The doctor and the nursing team check your progress together.
How to reach us outside clinic hours:
If your vision suddenly becomes blurry, you have trouble breathing, your lips or throat swell, or bleeding does not stop, do not wait; call 119 or go to the nearest emergency room.
The symptoms that should prompt you to contact us for each procedure or surgery are on the information page for that procedure.
Where is the clinic located?
It is on the 4th floor of the Boratial Building, 480 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station.
There is a Mega Coffee on the first floor. The station is served by Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line.
