Eye Surgery · Midlife Eye Surgery: Where and How to Start
The most important thing in double eyelid surgery is deciding on the surgical method
The most important thing in double eyelid surgery is deciding on the surgical method. Face Plus Plastic Surgery's midlife eye surgery addresses the underlying cause — it improves wrinkles caused by sagging under-eye muscle and skin, addressing aesthetic and functional problems at the same time.

In eye surgery consultations, there are cases where double eyelid surgery alone is not enough. If the eye-opening strength is weak, that is, if there is blepharoptosis, it must be corrected. To decide the specific double eyelid surgery method, four points must be diagnosed carefully: whether the eyelid has a lot of flesh, whether the eyelid skin sags a lot, whether the eye-opening strength is adequate, and whether the epicanthal fold is pronounced.
As we age, the eyelids sag, and when problems arise such as blocked vision or oozing, midlife eye surgery is considered. Upper blepharoplasty, which creates a double eyelid while removing sagging skin; sub-brow lift, which removes sagging skin without creating a separate double eyelid; and lower blepharoplasty, which corrects sagging under-eye skin and bulging fat — the method differs depending on the desired look and each person's condition.
Dr. Park Jung Keun, the plastic surgery specialist who performs the surgery, personally handles everything from the consultation to the operation. There is no fixed answer for the surgical method. Through a thorough consultation, we proceed with a surgical method tailored to each individual.
