Made from donated human skin
A human tissue product
Re2O is a human tissue product made from the dermal component left after the cells are removed from donated human skin.

Re2O is a human tissue product made from the dermis (the inner layer of the skin) of donated human skin. It is made by L&C Bio.

Re2O is a human tissue product made from the dermal component left after the cells are removed from donated human skin.

It is a product that injects a material retaining the dermal extracellular matrix (ECM, the structural components inside the skin) into the skin, aiming to replenish the structural components inside the skin.

The dermis is the layer involved in skin thickness and elasticity. Re2O uses this dermis as its material.

It comes in powder form and is dissolved just before the procedure and injected.

Re2O is a human tissue product made from the dermal component left after the cells are removed from donated human skin.

The terms may sound unfamiliar at first, so we explain them step by step, starting with the structure of the skin.
Human skin is divided into the outer epidermis (the outer layer of the skin) and the dermis beneath it. The dermis is the layer involved in skin thickness and elasticity. Re2O uses this dermis as its material. This kind of material is called acellular dermal matrix (ADM, human dermis with the cells removed).
It comes in powder form and is dissolved just before the procedure and injected.
Re2O is not a medical device. It is classified as human tissue. Human tissue is processed tissue from a donor, and it is managed through a tissue bank (an institution that processes and stores human tissue).
The name is long and may feel difficult, so we start by explaining what it means.
Acellular dermal matrix (ADM) is a material in which the cells are removed from donated human skin and the extracellular matrix (ECM, the structural components inside the skin) of the dermis is left. Re2O is a product that injects this material into the skin, aiming to replenish the structural components inside the skin.
In simple terms — it is a product that takes the cells out of human skin, leaves only the framework components that support the skin, and aims to place them inside the skin.
Re2O is made from donated human skin, and it is classified as human tissue, not as a medical device.

This does not mean that one is better than another. What differs is what it is made of and how the government has classified it.
Putting what each is made of side by side makes the difference clear at a glance.
| Product | What is it made of? | Category |

A medical device is approved product by product by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The approved intended use is set for each product.
Because this is about regulation it may feel dry, but it is information you need to make an informed decision, so we explain it briefly.
Human tissue works differently. Human tissue is not approved by reviewing the efficacy of each product the way medical devices are. Instead, the tissue bank that handles the tissue is approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the donor testing and the processing and storage steps are supervised.
Before the procedure, we explain that Re2O is a product that comes from human tissue, and we obtain your consent.
We keep a record of which tissue was used for whom.
Both products are human tissue products made by processing donated human skin tissue. The tissue banks that processed them differ. Re2O is from L&C Bio, and Cell Re DM is from Hans Biomed.
The names and the materials look alike, so it is natural to be confused.
When each of the two products is used is explained in
Cell Re DM Procedure Information · Rejuran Procedure Information
It is considered when the concern is the condition of the skin itself, such as skin that has become thinner and more fine wrinkles.

If you feel your skin is not what it used to be, first tell us which change bothers you most.
We do not choose the product first. We first sort out whether your concern is a problem of the skin itself, of hollowness, or of sagging. The criteria for sorting are in Criteria for Choosing a Skin Booster.
The area is decided at the examination.
If you are worried about thin-skinned areas such as under the eyes, we start by showing why it is done differently for each area.
Re2O is a product that aims to replenish the structural components inside the skin. We do not use Re2O to lift a sagging face or to fill hollow areas.
This is something we want you to know before receiving it, so we make it clear first.
Re2O is human tissue. Human tissue is not approved by reviewing the efficacy of each product the way medical devices are. For that reason, we do not promise the effect in numbers or in a period.
What is hard to expect is as follows.
A Word from the Doctor
"What can't be done can't be done."
When you begin to feel a change and how long it lasts are
For an injectable material made of human dermis in particulate form, there is a randomized comparison study from the United States in 2002 aimed at lip volume (44 people, 12 months)[2]. The area was the lips, the purpose was volume, and the result is from multiple injections. The area and purpose differ from injecting Re2O into the skin.
At the consultation we look at the condition of your skin and decide the area, then give anesthesia and inject it.
For those receiving it for the first time, the sequence may feel vague, so we have written it step by step.
We start by looking at what is bothering you. If we judge that a different procedure is more suitable, we will tell you so.
We explain the area and the reactions that may occur. We separately explain that Re2O is a product that comes from human tissue.
The anesthesia method and the waiting time
The product is dissolved and prepared just before the procedure.

It is injected with a needle or a cannula (a tube with a rounded tip). Which instrument is used and at what depth differs by area.

We explain the precautions and the symptoms for which you should contact us.
Pain differs depending on the area. Areas where the skin is thin, such as under the eyes, are more sensitive.
If you are worried about pain, please feel free to tell us at the consultation.
As for how long the procedure takes,
The number of Re2O sessions and the interval are decided at the consultation after looking at your skin condition.
How many visits you will need is essential information for planning your schedule, so it may be the first thing you wonder about.
If you have an important event, please tell us in advance. Redness or swelling may be present right after the procedure, so it is best to leave some time before and after your schedule.
Side Effects · PrecautionsBecause it is an injection procedure, bruising, swelling, palpable lumps, and allergic reactions can occur. Rarely, if the injected material enters a blood vessel, the skin can be damaged or vision problems can occur.
Because Re2O is a product that comes from donated human tissue, the possibility of infection being transmitted through the donated tissue cannot be completely ruled out.
The changes below are ones you should tell us about without waiting until your next visit.
If something after the procedure feels wrong, do not endure it alone.
If your vision suddenly becomes unclear, do not wait, regardless of clinic hours, and go to the emergency room.
If you develop hives all over your body, are short of breath, or your lips or throat swell, call 119 or go to an emergency room.
A Word from the Doctor
"...I believe that responding quickly to any discomfort or side effects that may arise is also an extension of care."
As for when you can wash your face and wear makeup,
Re2O is a product made from donated human skin that a tissue bank has processed and sterilized. Even so, you should make your decision knowing that it is a product that comes from human tissue.
It is natural to feel concerned by the words "human tissue." So we have written down, just as they are, what procedures it goes through and what risk remains.
Human tissue as defined by law includes bone, cartilage, fascia, skin, amniotic membrane, ligaments, tendons, heart valves, and blood vessels, and skin is included. A tissue bank is an institution that has facilities and equipment and has received approval from the Minister of Food and Drug Safety. By law, tissue that is infected, or suspected of being infected, with a communicable disease such as hepatitis B or C, syphilis, or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) may not be distributed or transplanted.
The tissue bank that processed Re2O is L&C Bio.
Donor testing and processing and sterilization are procedures meant to reduce the risk of infection being transmitted. It cannot be said that there is no risk at all.
The Re2O instructions for use state that the following items are checked in donor screening tests.
The raw tissue is collected in the United States and Bulgaria.
How the cell-removal processing is done is described in
The risk notices written in the product labeling and instructions for use are described in
Before the procedure, we explain this and obtain your consent. You are welcome to ask at the consultation if you have questions.
No. Re2O is a product whose packaging is labeled as human tissue. Filler fills the volume of hollow areas. We do not use Re2O to fill volume.
We cannot say that either one is better. The materials they are made from and their classifications differ. Re2O is human tissue made from donated human skin, and the Rejuran line consists of medical devices. Which one to consider is decided at the consultation after looking at your skin condition.
The area is decided at the examination. In areas where the skin is thin, such as under the eyes, we decide the depth and amount more cautiously.
We do not state a set period. Re2O is human tissue. Human tissue is not approved by reviewing the efficacy of each product the way medical devices are. We tell you at the consultation after looking at your skin condition.
It depends on the type of surgery. In some cases it is done on the same day, and in others on separate days. The criteria are given in Can skin boosters and surgery be done together?
