Three Principles I Keep
Hello. I am Park Jung Keun, Medical Director of Face Plus Plastic Surgery.
I meet each patient with the following principles.
- I take responsibility for the entire process, from consultation through the procedure or surgery to aftercare.
- I promise careful, attentive care.
- I hold high standards for results and avoid unnecessary or excessive procedures.
‘How can I give my patients a more satisfying result?’ This is a question I ask myself every day as a plastic surgery specialist.
Today I would like to share my treatment philosophy with those who are considering plastic surgery or a procedure and have come to our clinic, Face Plus Plastic Surgery, and with those who have not yet made up their minds.
“Does the doctor really see you from start to finish?”
From the first consultation to the moment we check your final progress, I, the Medical Director, am personally with you through the entire process.
“I worry that a consultation manager handles the consultation and then a different doctor comes in for the procedure or surgery.” Many of you have probably had this concern.
In particular, I believe that one of the most important parts of deciding on a facelift or lifting surgery is ‘trust in the doctor.’
Why the Initial Consultation Matters
An appropriate plan can be made only by understanding even the fine details, such as the patient's face shape, skin condition, and overall harmony.
That is why the initial consultation matters more than anything else. I believe my role is to discover each patient's unique beauty and make a plan that suits it.
The procedure or surgery itself is, of course, performed by my own hands. It is a matter of course, as a principle, that I take responsibility for caring for you through the recovery process and aftercare that follow.
“Isn't it over once I've had the procedure?”
Aftercare is just as important as the result of the procedure or surgery.
It is important not only to obtain a good result but also to maintain it over time. I regard even responding promptly to any discomfort or side effects that may arise as an extension of treatment.
We do not stop at simply checking the result of the procedure; we carefully check even the small discomforts you may feel during recovery. Not only I but all of our staff continuously monitor your condition.
Throughout the entire process, from consultation through surgery to recovery, the medical team and staff communicate closely. This allows us to respond right away to changes in your condition.
“How many surgeries do you perform in a day?”
I plan only as many procedures and surgeries per day as I can handle.
To focus on each patient, the doctor's concentration and physical condition are very important. Limiting the daily schedule is a promise I have made to myself to treat every patient with the same level of concentration.
Securing the time and environment to focus fully on one person's face. I am well aware that this is important.
In Closing
What I want to give my patients is ‘trust.’
I will speak through honest care rather than flowery words. Thank you for reading this long column.
